I am a multigenre writer, often exploring my family’s history in the larger context of immigration and the Holocaust through creative nonfiction, poetry, and fiction. My work has been featured in more than sixty literary magazines and so far, it’s been nominated for six Pushcart Prizes and other awards.

I teach in the Holocaust & Genocide Studies graduate programs at Gratz College and Kean University and serve as director of the Mercer County Holocaust, Genocide & Human Rights Education Center at Mercer County (New Jersey) Community College

I also teach in the Liberal Arts division and serve as co-editor of the College’s literary magazine, the Kelsey Review. Please see my other publications at www.barbarakrasner.com.
