euhal allen’s “The Bridge”
The story has held my attention by remaining mysterious but not confusing. It helps greatly to maintain the core cast of characters, bringing in new ones and introducing them slowly. A few more hints re: what the "bridge" is, and also who the characters who are "not quite human looking." I admit to being impatient with mystery... it's not my usual read.
What's next???

When Jerry forwarded me this message, I overlooked the title and thought that the first two sentences could apply to a lot of our stories, such as Tala Bar’s Gaia and Roberto Sanhueza’s Katts and Dawgs. But you’re right about the “mystery,” and I’m looking forward to euhal allen’s telling us about the “Bridge’s” origins. Maybe he’ll do that in part III or IV.
But, in the end, does it really matter much where the Bridge comes from? We know what it’s intended to do and what actually happens. The story seems to contain a hidden caution about doing good: it may cause harm...
