Jared lives in Toronto, where he ranks as one of the best Scrabble players in North America. He has published science fiction, comedy and literature in esteemed journals.

“The Voiceover” will horrify readers; but it will do so appropriately, because, as we like to say, “Bewildering Stories is not all Halloween but, at Bewildering Stories, it is Halloween all the time.”

The story presents three main characters: a mother and son who both need treatment for antisocial attitudes, and a psychologist who proposes to treat them. We will not be surprised to receive — by transsubstantial communication — a message from Dr. Victor Frankenstein concerning the psychologist’s sense of medical ethics.
