Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Christopher Stires
Readers of Bewildering Stories may have come across Chris Stires’ name in the science fiction and horror sections of their local bookstores. Chris is the author of an alternate-history thriller, Rebel Nation, and his novel The Inheritance won the 2003 Dream Realm award for horror. He is also the author of a horror western, and a paranormal horror novel of his is forthcoming.
In addition to novels, Chris has sold over eighty short stories and other works, including non-fiction. A screenplay written in collaboration has been optioned by a Canadian independent film company.
“Waiting,” complements another story in this issue in two ways: Chris Stires is an experienced and very successful writer; Sarah Downey is young and just starting out. Sarah’s “Silly Sally” depicts a split personality veering erratically between sanity and obsession as it exames itself; Chris Stires’ “Waiting” shows us a paranoid personality transforming everyday reality into delusions.
Christopher Stires’ bio sketch can be found here.
Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Chris. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
