Acknowledgements: Contributors are asked to be patient with us. We’ve received an unusual number of submissions in the past week. Preparing issue 249 as well as extraneous time pressures have slowed our responses. If you haven’t received an acknowledgement by the end of next week, please send a query; e-mail does sometimes go astray.
Proofreading: Your editor is very grateful to the Review Board for reporting errata in every issue, and issue 249 has required an unusual amount of work. I’m also grateful to the authors for corrections received in response to the Preview notices. Once again, our standard reminder: the on-line texts may not be letter perfect, but they will almost certainly be more accurate than the authors’ own copies.
