Pavelle Wesser

Pavelle is from New York City but now lives with her family in Connecticut, where she teaches English. She’s published stories in several e-zines, including DemonMinds, MicroHorror, and Short Humor.

“Think You Know?” is as much a puzzle as its title suggests. Poor Steve: would he have such a horrible encounter with his mother and get mugged on a station platform if he didn’t think so much?

In any event, the story joins our substantial collection of fiction in the “subway car” subgenre. Mass transit really doesn’t stand a chance in fiction; every one of our “subway” stories is a horror story to some extent. Why might that be? Do you think you know...?
