Bewildering Stories welcomes...
S. R. Panda
S. R. Panda commutes frequently between India and the U.S. His short fiction has won several prizes and honors. He has also published a book on the craft of writing short stories.
“Exercise in Humility” is a humorous story of a medical student — a would-be surgeon — who is doing an internship in psychiatry. His first case appears at first to be a piece of cake. But overconfidence can lead to a fall, and as one mistaken supposition leads to another, the doctor in training might begin to doubt his own sanity. At the very least, he learns one of Bewildering Stories’ lessons: there is no story so truly bewildering as reality.
