Lynsey Jenkins

Lynsey describes herself as a female poet and a Floridian. She began writing at an early age but has begun writing seriously in the past three years.

“Sketch of a Red Balloon” is a delicate, elusive poem that concentrates on ephemeral perception and expression. Does the title refer to the classic French short film Le Ballon rouge? Maybe. Or maybe it refers to something else. But like the red balloon, the poem will float away, inviting readers to catch it if they can.
