Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Amy S. Tripp
Amy lives with her family in northern New York state. Her favorite pastimes are writing and making trails in the woods for gnomes.
“Reality Checked” may reflect incidentally the isolation of the wilderness of upstate New York. It may not exactly be ideal for practicing post-apocalypse survivalism, but it’s pretty good.
And that is precisely what Alyssa and her mother are doing: surviving alone in a world where everyone else seems to have died off. Their sanity gradually crumbles under the weight of loneliness. But they’re not so lonely that they’ll welcome the company of dirty, rancid-breathed men; insanity seems preferable.
