Patricia is from Grand Blanc, Michigan. She teaches writing and is currently busy with a satirical novel about small-town politics.

“Waldo Canyon Fire” is a kind of prose poem in verse. It recounts in a kind of matter-of-fact way the how a horrific wildfire would have menaced a family in Colorado.
