Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Sherri Cook Woosley
Sherri has taught academic writing and comparative mythology at the University of Maryland. She has published short stories and is working on a novel.
“Two Sides of a Triangle” takes an almost commonplace premise — a widow, Myrtle, meets Rosie, her late husband’s mistress — and turns it into a most unusual morality play. Was Joe really a “two-timing cad”? Rosie and Myrtle have a final meeting over a bowl of Myrtle’s traditional tomato soup. Rosie and the soup reveal that there was a lot more to Joe and that there is a lot more to life than threadbare stereotypes.
