Bewildering Stories welcomes...
Eric J. Guignard
Eric lives on the outskirts of Los Angeles, where he writes speculative fiction. His membership in the Horror Writers Association and International Thriller Writers indicates his preferences in genres. He has published short fiction extensively and has edited anthologies, one of which was nominated for the Bram Stoker award.
“Living in the Moment” has a good deal of horror in it, in the form of a fatal traffic accident. But the story itself can be read as philosophical humor. The victim of the accident applies Zeno’s famous paradox of Achilles and the Tortoise not to space but to time, with the same effect. It will leave readers wondering, “Hey, wait a... minute. How come I can’t live in the zeptosecond?” The Challenge Response calls upon Heisenberg to explain why.
