Once “he” thought the answer found
To the question they longed to answer
Then silence
And the millennia went by
Until their yearnings no longer mattered
Twice she saw it
Bright shining disk in the heavens
Of trillions born
And billions murdered
Then it faded beyond her eyes
Thrice they met
Vast minded swarms engulfed her
Probed every neural connection
Moving beyond care of their answer
As she learned of “his” home in that disk
A planet called Earth
