Shola Balogun

Shola has a Master’s degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, with a specialty in literary and dramatic criticism. He has won two poetry prizes and has written a collection of poetry as well as several books and children’s stories. He expresses a liking for John Donne and Shakespeare and prefers natural scenery for relaxation.

Readers will surely be charmed by the unusual imagery in the love poem “Xylophone,” a title that may refer to the structure of the poem itself.
