Michael Wooff

Michael is a long-time contributor to the Poetry writers’ group at writewords.org.uk. He says he’s joined the “flash poetry” and flash fiction groups as a challenge and as a break from translating poems and stories from French and German. Michael is particularly fond of translating the Belgian author Maurice Carême.

“The Ass and the Ox” celebrates the Christmas season, but its subtle and forward-looking conclusion also fits nicely with the beginning of Epiphany. Friends are rejoined, and they can look forward to good works to come.
