Fran has been interested in fantasy and the macabre since before she could write. She’s just finished a full-length fantasy novel. Did this early interest lead her to earn a Master’s degree in ancient history? Her first short story for us, “The Cat,” unobtrusively brings in some elements of it. She joins a select group of historians at Bewildering Stories, among whom are Mark Koerner, Steven Francis Murphy, Thomas R. and Norman A. Rubin.
