Guidelines for Earth Writers
by David Barber
1. We here at Sinestral magazine
are looking for writing that features themes
under-represented in the dextrarchy.
Send us work that leans to the left,
hand us verse for the ambidextrous,
hook us with your prosthetic tales.
There aren’t enough dystopian tales of surly, put-upon teens fighting oppression. Show us the unfairness of the apocalypse. Pass exams with cunning and violence. Choose between wolves and bats. Use slang.
3. Orion Arm Press
prefers submissions by Ansible.
Surface mail must include a self-addressed Bussard ramjet.
Feel free to contact us if we have not replied after one galactic rotation.
4. Quantum ezine
The Copenhagen Interpretation states until you hear from us, you are both published and in the bin. |
In the Many Worlds Version all things are possible; some of you are in print while others were spiked. |
Simultaneous submissions are inevitable.
5. Silicon Dreamsis looking for matrix-driven multi-verse in languages that run on Gen Ten platforms and above.
SD is an equal-opportunity publisher and work by flesh will be considered. Expect a reply in <60 seconds.
6. gravedirt under the fingernails
wants your nightmare tales of the macabre. We want pages soaked in blood, we want hideous goings-on in New England and unspeakable horror in under 1000 words. (firm)
7. jolly tales of the future
Enough gloom and doom! Give us utopia,
give us positive vibes, give us colour-blind heroes
of every gender overcoming disability to save tomorrow!
Give us endings that are happy,
where killer robots kiss,
aliens have a change of heart
and the asteroids just miss.
8. male stale and pale is on indefinite hiatus.
time travel is so last year.
now the future of the future lies
elsewhere than the weary tropes
of us old straight white guys.
