Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
K. A. Kenny
K. A. lives with his family in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia. He has an M.A. in History from George Washington University and was a technical writer until recently. In 2021-22, he published seven short stories and a science fiction novel: Starflower.
“Second Chance” will surely engage readers’ sympathy for Kip, a convict marooned in what amounts to solitary confinement in Earth orbit, where he is assigned to collect space junk.
Of course Kip would leap at the chance offered him by space aliens who are, for all practical purposes, the equivalent of angels. He’ll go back in time and correct the mistake for which he’s been sentenced. Who wouldn’t leap at a chance for redemption? Just don’t forget who we’re dealing with here.
